This is what the solgiers frim the first dream looked like

Well, this is another drean and I saw it a few days after the previous one. Actually it is totally different, but I was thinking about it and realized that somehow this dream could refer to the previous one. Well, I do not remember this one as detailed as previous one. However, I memorized some fragments. First of all, me and some of my friends, I don't remember who were they exactly went to MacHall and we saw a new big comic and book store which was in the area where TacoTime and Pizza73 are located(in the real life). We went there and I bought some manga book which was about an ivestigation of some accident in a top-secret military reseach facality. There were two main heroes who were investigating this accident and the only proof they had was the mysterious and strange picture of a girl in a military-style exisceleton and armed by strange weapons. And now I realised that I am in this book and I am one of that twp detectives investigating the case in the laboratory. We looked and analyzed this picture very carefully and somehow(I don not exactly know how) found a few abandoned laboratories. We have been to all of them. We found a lot of broken computer consoles, control rooms, a lot of technical and cyber equipment. Everything was grey, black dark blue and very ominous.

Is this dream related to the previous one(parts 1 & 2). May be. Who knows. Very possibly that that two detectives were investigating the accident when 4 teens came to an abandoned factory at night and were kidnapped by these evil solgiers(previuos dream and parts 1& 2). Actually that were not really solgiers, may be mercenaries of some evil corporation or even something more mysteriopus and evil. These two detectives were getting closer to it. But no one knows the truth.

While soldiers outside started to surround and enter the building, my friends were looking at the windows and definitely, those soldiers located, where we are. I shouted "run"!!! And at this moment, we saw a mysterious, dark man in a black long leather raincoat, he walked right on the balcony outside and fortunately did not see us. We started to run away, we've been running through chambers, control rooms, abandoned devices' rooms, etc. Finally we came to a big hall with dark-green liquid on it instead of floor with the bridges on it. It was quite close to the main exit, where we came from and we rushed as fast as possible in that direction. Suddenly, I've heard the guns shooting somewhere in the very back, at the other part of the factory. Moreover; me and my friends realized, that one of us is missing and somehow, I knew that he was surrounded by those evil and vile soldiers and they probably caught him. I started to run all the way back to where the sounds of shooting guns were heard and after the last corridor I saw one of the soldiers who did not see me. On the contrary he was looking in the opposite direction. I jumped on him and tried to punch...

Industrial dreams

In the last few days I saw two quite strange and interesting dreams, unfortunately I did not memorize most of the specific details and all the events but I remember some general information and the setting. Moreover; after I thought about it a little bit I realized that they could be connected to each other and happened at the same universe. Ok, now I will try to tell some more about it.

Part 1: The abandoned mystery

In our town, Yakutsk we have a power plant that provides both heat and electricity. In my dream there was some kind of huge abandoned factory that had some similarities with this power plant and was located at the same district, pretty close to the real one. One day, may be it was close to the evening but the Sun was still shining me and three my friends decided to enter this abandoned factory and explore it for interest and fun. As we entered the huge gate with the railways to the factory we saw the huge hall with some devices at the middle, bridges at the sides and full of wires, pipes, switches, consoles etc. Most of them were dusty, dirty and broken. We went further to the building and realized that it is very dark now and we can hardly see anything. Suddenly; after stalking in different corridors, rooms, cabins, control rooms etc., we entered to a big almost empty room and sat there on the floor talking to each other. I said that it is better to leave this evil and mysterious place because I felt that something ominous is going to happen and suddenly we hear the noise from outside. I silently moved to a big window in order to find out what is happening outside and saw a few military cars, people dressed up like special forces with helmets, masks and armors and suddenly blinding light rays appeared from the place where those people stopped. It was exactly behind us, on the factory's territory. I shouted "Don't come to the window, they can see us". In contrast, my stupid friends run to the windows and stared out...

Secret Broadcast

Friday, Feb 15 there was the gig on Ballroom. Guess who was there? Neither Canadian, nor American or British band. That time it was show of Russian pop-rock band Mumii Troll. Well, I am not their big fan or reall appreciator cuz I prefer a bit different styles of music(louder, noisyer and harder=). However; this is a second time when I see this band's liveshow, last time it was in my hometown Yakutsk in autumn 2003. Now in Ballroom it was not bad show, which reminded me home=). There were lot of Russians(well, mostly Russians). It started later that it should be, but the beginning was quite good. Calgarian band "Secret Broadcast" opened the show. I liked how they played, only 3 guys were perfoming good pop-rock. Later, after around 30 minutes of Secret Broadcast, Mumii Troll have finally appeared on the stage! Their lead-singer Ilya Lagutenko is known for his funny voice and weird manner of dancing. Any way he was pretty funny and the public(especially female) liked this and shouted after every song.

The disatvantage of the show that it was a bit too short and expencive. But I liked it anyway.

Cloverfield

Well, it is very interesting idea to advertise the movies or the music(Nine Inch Nails-Year Zero) using the interent to make an alternate reality game(ARG). The filmmakers of the movie "Cloverfield" use internet to advertise and describe some parts of the movie's stioryline. Web-sites, news in different world languages(including Russian!) and blogs of the move heroes on Myspace.com. Now, after movie I've read the history of the events from the movie, but still it is unknown, where the monster came from. It is all about Targuato, the mega corporation from Japan, it's brand Slusho, TIDOware- the environmental organization, which is against Targuato's pulluting and harmful activity. Also, it is about some substance called "Sea Nectar". This substance is deeply frozen in the deep ocean bottom. And the soft drink Slusho made of this "Sea Nectar" and it has a strange effect on human. That's why this drug drink is so popular. Targuato had a platform ih the Atlantic Ocean not far from New York that is used to extract Sea Nectar.

Once, this platform is attaked and destroyed! This accident was shown in news. So, as we can see, the film is just a part of the big story, which is far away from the end.

Favourite Books.

What books do you like the most? What is your opinion about the literature? Do you prefer classic or something new, modern and unusual? As for me I like reading a lot. It is one of my biggest hobbies since quite early childhood. I used ro read Russian fairy tales, when I was approximately 7 years old. Now I like fantasy, sci-fi, cyberpunk, classic and many more. recently I've read "Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows". Last book about Harry Potter. I started reading Harry Potter books in 2002, and now after five years that's it. And now my favoutite Harry potter book is "Harry Potter and Goblet of Fire". Last book was capturing and interesting because all the magic secrets was revealed and because of the battle between Harry and Vol-De-Mort. But the real failure is the film "Harry Potter and the Order ofd the Phoenix". This is very weak film for Harry Potter universe. The shortest film, which is based upon the longest Harry potter Novel, many interesting moments from the book was cut from the film. That's why it is boring.

First and New

Well, the New Year had come and the vacation is over.To be honest, I didn't feel pessimistic after the vacation and wanted them to continue; by the way, when I studied at the school, we had much shorter winter vacation. Now, it's time to learn English again, and I expected, that EAP 3 will be totally different, than EAP 2 and will be REALLY 0_O hard!=)

Actually, it is hard, but there are many similatities with Fall semester. Many things, we have to do, like lectures or speaking journals are pretty simiar. We do have new kinds of assignments, like term papers or book projects, but they remind to reaing projects of EAP 2. And of course, course grades are stricter, but I think, it is good for stimulating hard work.

Our teachers told us about one intresting and I've been thinking about that. And what's the real scoop is that now we are not only learning mechanics and grammar of English, but mostly we are leazrning how to apply and use English in our University experience. We are practising a lot, we are surrounded by English, we are watching movies, TV shows(I don't like to watch TV shows often, but whatever=D) . We are applying our English almost everywhere in opur casual life, and that is one of the factors, that our second language experince is increasing. Our EAP courses with lovely and funny teachers Scott and Murray are just awesome. And we are using things, that we are learning to speak, write, entertain and so on in English atmosphere.

I think, that's the best way to learn new language.

Speaking journals, blogging, lectures, project and final presentation. That's it. So much things to do, not so much time for this. And even now, I had not been to second attending lecure yet 0_o!
But on the other hand, some of this activities are not as difficult, complicated and scary as we think. For example, Reading Project. Now I am doing it and I hope to finish it soon. Once we start to work, it is not so hard. And what do you think? How are you planning your time management? And what assignments are the most difficult in your opinion?

Hello all! ok, we have stopped at the album "The speedway hero", which was released in 1987. In 1988 Aria films their first videoclip "Street of the roses" and goes tho the tour to Bulgary and Germany. At the fall the recording of the new album starts, and at that period the producer and director of Aria Viktor Vekshtein leaves them. Next year, the vinyl with new album "Playing with fire" was released. Drumer Maks Udalov leaves our band, Alexander Manyakin becomes a new drumer. This album was a bit minimalistic but the songs were vary(as always=))), Paganini's mystery, battles, opposition agains wars and violence. That is the album's themes. Next year Aria celebrates it's 5 year anniversary! In 1991 our band spend in recording studio quite much time and the new album "Krov' za Krov'"(Blood for Blood) was released. This album is just amasing, like "Speedway hero" it contains not many songs but all these songs are totally different, but at the same time they are a part of one conception: mystique, strange, dark. This album combines hard guitar solos and heavy riffs with melodic and charming ballads. Mu favourite songs from this album are: "Farewell, Northfolk!", "Zombie"," All, that was" and "Follow me". Probably, I will try to translate them in English.

In 1993 Aria record new song "Angel's dust" one of version of this song was recorded and perfomed without Kipelov, the songer. His place for a very short period of time took Alexei Bulgakov. But later Kipelov returned to the band. The good times are coming, because Aria signed the contract with label MOROZ records, soon all the albums were re-released on CDs.

In 1995, Sergey Mavrin, one of the best guitarists in Russia leave the band. And Sergey Terentev became a band member as a guitarist. In 1995 "Night is shorter than day" were released. As for me I did like just some songs of this album, Aria had changed, this CD sounds very different, than the previous ones. An an year later, during the supporting tour of the new album, Aria release their first Live-album "Made in Russia". Then Aria splits into two different projects. Vitaliy Dubinin and Vladimir Holstinin release funny album Avaria, with classical songs, but in blues and easy-listening versions. Valery Kipelov and our old friend Serget Mavrin record "The Dark Ages" hard-n-heavy side project. History is going on...

One of my favoutite rock-bands ever, and one of the first i have ever heard is Aria(Ария) heavy

metal band, which have been founded in 1985 by guitrist Vladimir Hostinin and bassist Alik Granovsky. The first album "Mania Velichia"(Megalomania) was released in October 31, 1985. This line-up at that time was: Valery Kipelov-vokal, Vladimir Holstinin-guitar, Alik Granovsky-bass guitar, Kiril Pokrovsky-keyboards and Alexandr Lvov-drums. Viktor Vekshtain became the director of the new formed band. Before this, Valery Kipelov was one of the singers in "Singin' Hearts" ensemble. This albym was quite successful and many compositions were look like a bit songs of Iron Maiden, British heavy-metal band. The band had started the tour and

after this began to record the second album "S Kem Ty?"(Who are you with?). The line-up changed Pokrovsky and Lvov had left the band,and new members Andrey Bolshakov and Igor Molchanov joined. Andrey Bolshakov was inspired by Judas Priest band, and this album was a bit different, then the previous one. And songs from this album had became so popular, that they occupied first positions in many Soviet charts. And at this time Aria is splitting in two bands. Andrey Bolshakov, Alik Granovsky and Igor Molchanov leave the band to found their own thrash-metal band Master(we will talk about this later;=))). Of course new musicians apeear: Vitaly Dubinin(I wrote a paragraph in Writing class, remember?), guitarist Sergey Mavrin and drumer Maks Udalov. It is time for raising legend! In 1987 brand new cult legendary album "Hero of the asphalt" also known in English as "Speedway hero". This is the realy amazing album! Aesthetics of bikers, mustique and patriotism is in 6mezmerizing and outstanding tracks! This tracks are: "Serving to the evil", " Hero of the asphalt", "Dead zone", "1100", "Street of the roses" and "Ballad about ancient russian warrior". This was the first part of this essay. I have not posted here for a long time. Ok, now i am sitting and playing some music on the MIDI-keyboard=)). Hope to write some good tracks. Few days ago i found out that our winter holydays lasts from December 17 till January 14. Cool! So much time to have rest from our hard work and creative studying. And then we will start the next level. Our english is getting more and more andvanced, so i think that EAPP is necessary thing for us. What is your opinion about that, dear students? ~_+ ;)) @.@

The extremely cold but charming place.

Hello all. Now i want to write about my country of origin and hometown.

I am from Russia, the biggest and one of the strongest countries in the world. The town where I was born is Yakutsk. It is a very beatiful city in the middle of nowhere and it is a capital of the biggest state in Russia, Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). I think that this is one of the coldest places in the Earth(maby the coldest one=)@.@). In December, January and February the typical temperature outside is about negative 40-45 Celcium degrees. And people have get used to it. We have very beautiful nature(may be i will post some photos later).
My favourite season is Spring, because in spring our town wakes up from the hard and harsh winter, every day it's getting warmer and warmer. It is so nice to see that summer is coming. And when summer finally comes( approximately in the middle of May) the weather looks like typical summer weather. The Sun shines and heat is everywhere. Then after July, the summer slips away and day after day is is getting colder and colder.
Finally in the begining of October the snow falls and it is again winter time. Year after year.

Hello all. Let's talk about some hobbies? For example music. What type of music do you like. I like many different styles and types of music. For example Metallica. I like "Master of puppets" album. It is one of the first albums of thrash-metal! Heavy guitars, attacking drums and loud bases sound very nice and cool! I also Hammerfal.Hammerfall is power-metal band. Power-metal is music style with fast speed, melodius vocal and it looks like medieval folk ballads in modern, heavy variant.

The other music style i like very much is industrial and post-industrial. EBM(Elecrtonic Body Music) sounds very progressive and sometimes agressive=). I like many industrial bands as you can see in bookmark "about me". One of my favourite EBM-formation is Front Line Assembly, they are from Canada. Front Line Assembly sounds very synthetic, technological and sometimes apocaliptic. Now I am listening their new album "Artifical Soldier" and remixes compilation "Falout".
